"Life without music would be a mistake,"
Freidrich Nitzsche, 1844 -1900, Philosopher

We happen to agree with Freidrich. Music is Magic.
When All Else Fails, Sing. Sing Like You Mean It.

MOMENTS In the wacky world of phras-e-ology, (go ahead Google it), the following is highlighted as being universally shared amongst humans. Finally, we all something in common. Go figure it would be this.

Apparently everywhere on this planet, at any given moment, an exasperated person turns to the drama at hand and simply says: "Well, That's Life," and smartly adds "and you better get used to it". Fifty-three percent add "you little bugger" in native termonology. Twenty-two percent follow-up with a really bad lecture.

It's a peculiar universal phrase. That's Life. Get used to it. Known around the world as the catch-all multi-purpose answer to why certain things go certain ways -- and generally not in our favour. But that's life.

It can truly suck. Circumstances can swirl about humans like no other creature on earth. We are unique animals. With all due respect to nature, we humans are somewhat empowered bunch -- creating what we will at any given moment. can

Each and everyone of us is subject to what appears to be it's whimiscal and unpredictable nature.

Life unscripted for some of us is a somewhat hit and miss affair. And mostly miss. Things just don't go right most of the time. Forget

It's all good.
All of it. Even When The Moments May Not Be, Life Is Good.
Remind yourself of that very fundamental truth, when everything falls apart -- and we do mean everything -- and you'll be way ahead of the game.

At the end of the day, when all is said and done and twitted, we know only a few truths to be absolutely true. That Life is Good is one of them. And it's the Big One. Unshakeable. You won't find it in any book. And you can't Google it.

For it's the only truth hard-wired into all living creatures. From bugs to Balugas. The truth that Life Is Good is hardwired into every living sentient being. Including you. That's right, you and the ants have something in common. And that's a very good thing. For indisputable Life Truths (of which there are maybe a handful) also travel with certain guarantees.

Guarantees that are freely avaialable, without sacrifice and backed by tangible results. That Life Is Good, for example, can be seen expressing itself in nature The Now there's a pretty good chance you've stumbled upon us in ce

That Life Is Good has nothing to do with your ciircumstance.

It's a truth known only to those who travel

And as with most of Life's truths, it has an added bonus prize: It comes with everything you require, almost like a tool belt strapped to your hip, to rebuild your life at any given moment in time. It's true. And it's guaranteed.

If you've arrived here fed-up, unhappy with your Life for whatever reason, then listen up. We have Good News and Bad News for your distressed neurons to digest. The Good News? You're Life is about to

It's the Number Two Secret of life: You can begin Again at any moment.

And there are

TOOLBELT ARTICLE ICON You'll find cliches and slogans all over No Remove yourself from the troubled and chaotic circumstances that may swirl about you at this very moment, and we think you'll agree that Life can be a wonderful affair. Complete

In fact, Life is your biggest fan. It does not play favourites although it certainly appears that way many days. No, Life roots for each one of us equally regardless of the circumstances we create.

It even includes a Get Out Of Jail Free card. It's rarely used of course, but it's there nonetheless for those who truly in need of a reset button.

The problem is not with Life, the problem appears to be with us humans. Creating truths in our minds that have little to do with reality. Choices reflect hopes and not fears.

And although your situational shenanigans may find you struggling at full tilt at this very moment, know without doubt that your journey is about to take a marvelous turn. Know without hesitation that you may not be where inteneded, but you are definitely where you need to be -- albeit, tempoarily sidetracked if that's the case. It gets better. And swiftly with a modicum of action. The world you desire can be yours.

If Life is about creating yourself as opposed to finding yourself, than Life has provided all the necessary tools for such an interesting endeavour. And that's good.

STRESSED OUT?

Chicken Soup For The Soul
"STRESSBUSTERS” TIM CLAUSS

"Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Let the day's own trouble be sufficient for the day."
Matthew 6:34

As a college freshman at Valparaiso University, facing all the uncertainties of future academic and work life, I had the opportunity to meet with the president emeritus and chancellor. Audiences were rare. Sitting among a small group of nervous peers, we anxiously awaited the arrival of a man revered throughout the school, let alone the country and abroad, for his excellence in achievement and esteemed wisdom.

Dr. O. P. Kretzman arrived in a wheelchair, aging, with failing sight. You could have heard a pin drop. All too soon, the attention turned to us as he asked for questions from the group. Silence. I knew inside what an opportunity this was, so despite my fear, I got up the courage to break the ice and ask my question.

"What advice would you give new freshman as we face all the choices and uncertainties ahead of us?" His reply was simple and strong, "Take one bite out of the apple at a time." No more, no less. A perfect stressbuster for the moment and for all the moments of my life to come. Now that I've been in the working world for 20 years, I've added a few more stressbusters to maintain a healthy life. Help yourself!

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE NOT SO EASY

Zen Habits, Zenhabits.com
LEO BABAUTA, AUTHOR / BLOGGER

Many of us are familiar with the idea of loving our spouses, children, or parents unconditionally - and we might even try to practice that unconditional love, though imperfectly.

But do we try to love ourselves unconditionally?

Consider whether you do any of these (I sure do):

GREEN CHECK MARK Criticize your body.
GREEN CHECK MARK Feel like you need to improve at things.
GREEN CHECK MARK Feel guilty about things you do.
GREEN CHECK MARK Feel undisciplined, lazy, unhappy with yourself.
GREEN CHECK MARK Not feel good enough.
GREEN CHECK MARK Fear that you're going to fail, because you're not good enough.
GREEN CHECK MARK See yourself as not that good looking.
GREEN CHECK MARK Feel bad about messing up.

For many of us, there's an underlying feeling of not being good enough, wanting to be better, wanting to be in better shape or better at things. This isn't something we think about much, but it's there, in the background.

What if we applied unconditional acceptance of who we are? What if we took a good look at ourselves, our body, our thoughts, our feelings, our actions, and said, "You are perfectly OK. You are perfectly good"?

Would that be a whole different experience for you? Could you accept every single thing about yourself, just as you are, without feeling that it needs to be changed?

I know what many people will immediately say: "But what's wrong with wanting to improve, with seeing things that need to be improved? Doesn't feeling bad about ourselves motivate us to change?"

Yes, it can be a motivator. But feeling bad about yourself can also be an obstacle: people who feel that they are fat, for example, are more likely to eat poorly and not exercise, because they see themselves as fat. They are likely to feel bad about themselves and to comfort themselves with food, alcohol, cigarettes, TV, Internet addictions.

What if instead, you loved yourself, fat body and all? What if you loved yourself, laziness and all? What if you loved yourself, all that is ugly and incompetent and mean, along with the beauty and brilliance and kindness?

This person who loves themselves is more likely to take actions that are loving. And those actions will be for the most part happily productive toward a worthy goal.

Acceptance isn't stagnation - you will change no matter what. You can't avoid changing. The question is whether that change comes from a place of acceptance and love, or a place of self-dislike and dissatisfaction. I vote for unconditional love.
